Perugia de St Jean
PERUGIA DE ST JEAN is a Lusitano/Oldenburger high quality cross mare for dressage competition. She is the daughter of FOR ROMANCE II (owner Paul Schockemöhle) and the daughter of MANTRA DE ST JEAN, by SPARTACUS CSM.
Are you looking for a horse with whom you can compete in dressage, and also go to the forest or the beach in safety? Here is your future dressage mare! PERUGIA DE ST JEAN combines the flexibility, lowering of the hips, and the calm mentality of the Lusitano horse with the amplitude, musculature, size and strength of the Oldenburger horse.
PERUGIA is all elegance and femininity. With an extraordinary walk and canter and an already very correct trot (which has already progressed since this summer) she is made for a great dressage career! She is easy and nice, very comfortable to ride, brought under the saddle in the Brocéliande forest. She will be able to compete in the 4-year-old free or classic cycle in 2024.
Good radiographic assessment done in August 2023.

Father: For Romance II
A king of beauty with attributes for sport, FOR ROMANCE II has made a special debut as a sire.
He was a premium stallion of the 2015 Oldenburg licensing in Vechta, on the brink of perfection in type and model: This is what a modern dressage horse looks like! His three gaits are powerfully transmitted, a cadenced walk with diligence and ground cover, a trot with enormous elastic force, actively repeated from the hindquarters with a lot of freedom of the shoulders, and an uphill canter at each stage covering a lot of ground.
FOR ROMANCE II continued his sporting career with qualification for the German Championships and participation in the Oldenburg Six-Year-Old Championship under the saddle of Frederic Wandres. At the P.S.I. sale, FOR ROMANCE II was sold for 700,000 euros to Blue Mountain Farm, but remains under the saddle of its current rider for training and therefore remains available to breeders.
He plays an important role as the sire of stallions and among the first generation of For Romance II foals, three stallions were approved in Vechta and Verden. Friedrich der Große was the third top price son of FOR ROMASNCE II on the stallion market, selling for 240,000 euros. At the German Foal Championships in Lienen, a son and a daughter of FOR ROMANCE II reached the final.
In 2011/2012, his sire FURST ROMANCIER was fourth at the dressage World Young Horse Championships and at the German national championships. His progeny are extremely successful in elementary/novice classes and have straight away put FURST ROMANCIER in the top 1% of all German dressage stallions, according to the FN breeding value estimation index.
